Dr. Chamorro completed his medical residency at San Juan de Dios University Hospital in Bogota, Colombia. He moved to the United States in 1967 and completed a Rotating Internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, and then went on to complete his first year of residency in radiology at the Roswell Park Memorial Institute. Dr. Chamorro moved to Pittsburgh and completed the last years of his radiology residency at the University of Pittsburgh’s Presby Hospital. He was then invited to serve as a Teaching Fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, were he served for one year.

 

In addition to working as a reading radiologist for Med Health Services, Dr. Chamorro is presently on staff as a radiologist at Tycor Imaging. He currently holds privileges in Teleradiology and Radiology at Canonsburg General Hospital, Greene County Memorial Hospital, and Brownsville General Hospital. The doctor previously also held a radiology position at UPMC Shadyside Hospital for more than 20 years and served as Chief Radiologist in the hospital’s division of ultrasound from 1978-1981. Dr. Chamorro is licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania, New York, Rhode Island and Illinois.
