Dr. Pawar completed both his medical and surgical residencies at the SSG Hospital Medical Science University in Baroda, India, and then came stateside at Yeshiva University’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York to complete his residency in Radiology. He came to Pittsburgh in 1979 and has since held several staff appointments with UPMC, Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Jameson Memorial Hospital and Alle-Kiski Medical Center. For more than 25 years, Dr. Pawar has specialized in all facets of diagnostic radiology, including ultrasound, computed tomography, nuclear medicine, abdominal and vascular ultrasound and echocardiography. The doctor has published several articles throughout the years in the ENT Journal, the American Journal of Radiology, and the Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, and frequently participates in ultrasound seminars and CME presentations throughout the area. Dr. Pawar is currently Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania, Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia.
